Ohio Historical Marker Ceremony & Reception
Please join us as we celebrate the history, legacy, and impact of The Sight Center!
On the first day of Blindness Awareness Month, we will unveil the historical marker awarded to The Sight Center by the Ohio Historical Marker Program. This unique honor recognizes our mission and all the people, organizations, and supporters who made our century of service possible.
Our marker is accompanied by a braille transcription and an audio description kiosk so that all visitors can fully experience the marker text. This is the first and only of its kind in Ohio. These accessibility features were made possible through the generosity of retired Executive Director Dawn Christensen.
