The Sight Center’s Centennial Celebration!

Join us as we celebrate our 100th anniversary! The Sight Center of Northwest Ohio has a distinguished history of

service to people who are blind or visually impaired. Founded on November 1, 1923, as The Toledo Society for the Blind by members of the Lions Club, Toledo Rotary, the Community Chest, and the Chamber of Commerce, the organization has not strayed from its original commitment: that all who are blind or visually impaired should have the opportunity to live life with dignity and self-respect.

Supported since its founding by generous donors, tireless volunteers and dedicated staff, the organization has successfully navigated The Great Depression, World War II, societal changes and technological transformations to remain a strong voice, a trusted partner and a respected leader in service to the community.

All proceeds from 100 Years InSIght will help The Sight Center empower independence and enrich the lives of people who are blind or visually impaired.
