Partnerships & Collaborations

The Sight Center shares with several area organizations and agencies the deep conviction that people coping with vision loss are entitled to and capable of leading full, productive, independent lives. Working together for the greater good of all allows these groups to change lives in measurable, positive ways.

  • Bureau of Services for the Visually Impaired: works in partnership with The Sight Center to provide vocational rehabilitation services that allow visually impaired people to become or remain gainfully employed.
  • Prevent Blindness Ohio (PBO): works in partnership with The Sight Center toward the common goal of increasing awareness of vision issues and resources.
  • The Area Office on Aging: works in collaboration with The Sight Center to ensure that Independent Living Services are available to people 60 years and older who are visually impaired or blind.
  • Sylvania Sunrise Lions Club, Inc.: With a philanthropic focus on people who are blind, the Lions Club and The Sight Center work in partnership on many community projects such as the annual Christmas party for people who are blind or visually impaired and the White Cane Walk.
